Your lifestyle can have an emotional as well as physical impact in different ways; how we live our we exercise, do we eat a healthy diet, do we feel good about ourselves?

You deserve to feel good about yourself and there are so many changes, some of them very small that can make a big difference. These could be anything from adding an extra vegetable at meal times or walking instead of using the bus or car. Take the children to park and treat yourself to some relaxation time. The list is endless!

Here at St George's we try to encompass all of this by offering a variety of groups/classes and events that you can take part in. Most of these are free or have a minimal charge. Please have a look at what’s on and see if there is anything you would like to join. If what you are looking for isn’t there please tell us, we are always happy to listen.

Remember you are important and so is your lifestyle. The stronger you feel emotionally as well as physically the better prepared you are to take on the many challenges that life may throw at you.

Golden Oldie Gardeners

This new group is about socialising more than anything! There will be tea, biscuits, chatting and of course gardening BUT you don’t have to be an expert gardener, just willing to have a go!

If you’d like to join her and be one of the new Golden Oldie Gardeners you can come along anytime on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

Dementia Cafe

Our Dementia Café provides a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for people with dementia and their carers to socialise.
As well as offering a range of fun and engaging activities, Dementia Cafés give both carers and people with dementia a chance to get information and advice and talk to others with similar problems.
These regular social groups improve wellbeing and reduce isolation for whole families. New friendships are often formed and people who attend can leave the sessions feeling like they have a better quality of life.
